Testimonial from a Helpline volunteer
"I really enjoy working on the Helpline because I feel so accepted. I used to have a sense of shame and guilt about my family member’s drug and alcohol use, but after the training and working on the Helpline I no longer feel that powerlessness. It is such a comfort to me to be in an environment that's friendly, non-judgemental and with opportunities for personal and professional growth. More than anything I feel good about myself these days, knowing that I am helping other people and hopefully making a difference in their lives. This has been and continues to be, an amazing time for me." Jane
